Mother Teresa is the most famous Albanian, but she is not the only one.
Those interested in life sciences may recognize the name of Ferid Murad, who - a few years ago - won a Nobel prize in medicine for his work on nitric oxide. Those who like pretty girls may recognize the name of Eliza Dushku; she has starred in some recent Hollywood movies; her last name means 'the oak' in Albanian. Daytime TV viewers may recognize the name of Agim Kaba, from 'As the world turns' show of CBS. John and James Belushi are Albanian as well. The most famous Albanian writer is Ismail Kadare; I think that, with a few exceptions, his books are a 'must read'.
